When your spine is misaligned, a painful muscle spasm usually occurs. The affected joint will also become tight, inflamed, and swollen.
Rest may relieve the pain and allow you to feel more normal, but the misalignment is often still present, putting you at risk of further injury.
This is why some people “put their back out” on a regular basis. Every time, the same area misaligns more and more.
Over time, these misalignments accumulate in layers, causing severe pain and other symptoms such as stiffness, muscle tightness, pain in other joints, and poor posture.
Unfortunately, in many other forms of treatment, resolving the cause is secondary to treating the symptoms.
Even if pain relief is obtained using these methods, it does not always imply that the underlying problem has been resolved.
Overall, they do not make you better in the long run, which is bad for your health.
